Current Health Crisis Update

I think we can all agree that this has already been a tough year. First, the horrific fires that swept across our country, and now the COVID-19 outbreak is changing the way we live and operate.

It’s a time where we’re all relying on each other more than ever – especially within our emergency services sector here in the best country in the world.

The BART Team are taking every precaution possible to minimise the spread and impact of this outbreak. All staff are working remotely and our office is closed to maintain social distancing practices. I can assure you however, that there will be no impact on our ongoing development and existing support services.

Keeping on the Front Foot

During the major fires we experienced at the end of 2019 and start of 2020 we added an additional AWS server to our infrastructure, ensuring BART’s continued resilience against any major event. Our focus during those events was to assist with Strike Team deployment (which we call Floating Brigades). Our current focus is now to continue adding useful functionality, alongside the creation of educational videos to assist you in this Health Crisis.

You can find these videos on our BART YouTube channel, so make sure you subscribe to keep up to date with the latest:

We don’t know yet what other measures we will need to take during this outbreak and other possible events, however our team will continue to work with agility and awareness based on the feedback we get from you, our valued BART members.

We also have PowerPoint presentations that you can download here

We hope this overview of BART will assist you over the coming months in this Health Crisis.  As always, we welcome your comments, suggestions and observations; BART is a partnership solution with you as the most important component of the partnership. We’re always ready to assist.

Keep up the great work you and your team do – and please be safe, maintain your social distancing and wash your hands!
